Zingy Citrus

36/52 “Zingy Citrus” 6” x 6”, oil on canvas panel. Summer solstice citrus slices. NOT my usual palette at all and I love it! I got sucked into the sunny day and all the bright colours around me. The result was Pthalo Blue and Cadmium Yellow visited for the day. They were well-mannered guests, although they were a bit rowdy at times. They were most Definitely party goers and they hung around for a Margarita from a little Mexican restaurant takeout called La Playa. Burritos overlooking the ocean sunset, made for a beautiful solstice event.
