Snow Crocus

19/52 Snow Crocus I’m hoping that this is the last time I paint snow for a while! We had a weak flurry yesterday, but Spring is trying for the win.

Don't get me wrong, you know that I love painting snow, but I want a chance to paint warm weather flowers. The part I really liked on this, was painting the snow at the base of the flower, to really give a feeling that it was a bunch of ice crystals around the edges. Translucency is tough!
