Painting For Ukraine
Artemisia Art Studio are holding an Art Sale fundraiser, to raise funds urgently for the people and government of the Ukraine. The fundraising will give options to put money into humanitarian relief, or help with government needs including defense and arms.
I painted an acrylic sunflower as my main donation. The sunflower being the national flower, and I added the colors of the flag over a red gesso, to symbolize winning over Russian oppression. I also added some small gelato oil paints and prints, to help boost funds.
My big news is that the painting and prep is all done for my exhibition “Outside In - Indoor Explorations”, @iamsierraarts at Sierra Arts Foundation, Downtown Reno. Fellow artists Shelley Zentner and April Gratix also have beautiful shows in the gallery at this time.
The opening reception is tomorrow at 5-7 and I plan on painting in the gallery between 2-4pm.
Treat your honey to an Art Date Night and visit other receptions in town too, including an art fundraiser for Ukraine at Artemisia Studio (just dropped off some work) and Paul Manktelow (another Brit!) Nevada Fine Arts.
Finished, Prepped and Ready to Hang!
A beautiful day in Downtown Reno to hang my show.
