Dare to achieve

96/100 This time last year, I would not have thought that it was possible for me to complete a 100 day project. Part of that was because I was running a commercial studio and couldn’t have found the time if I tried. Mostly though, it would be because I didn’t have the confidence in myself to create 100 pieces.

Even at back in art school when I was relatively prolific, I would go through long lean times. Most artists have blocks, so I am not unusual, but committing to a large number adds pressure to not having one.

Honestly speaking, the 100 worked out at this time because of the quarantine. But I have gained confidence in future possibilities. This wasn’t the original plan at the start of the year (can anyone say 2020 was in their plan?) for my art practice, but I think it may have been a better one
