I was a graphic designer/illustrator in one chapter of my life, so I often like to play with stylization. I was full time in a an amazing program in Gloucester, then worked freelance for a few years after graduating. I had a cute little studio in the High street in a town called Pershore, where I designed for mostly print media and did illustration commissions.
Eventually, I realized that I the illustration was more interesting than the design side to me, but art exploration for myself was more of a pull that the money earned creating for others. I saved enough from the design venture, that returning to art school for Fine Art was on the cards. My life was forever changed when I reentered art school, but the discipline gained from working in design and to contract deadlines gave me a big advantage in that environment.
