Apple & Jug Still Life I, progress steps

Still life (with pink tint), 12” x 12”, oil on wood panel.

I had been bottling up wanting to do this painting for a few days. It's a little bigger than my 2020 normal square format, but I wanted to really focus on this one and try and nail the lighting and reflections. I moved the items a ton of times, trying to get within a Fibonacci composition.

I want to make a little set of them with slightly changed lighting situations. There is a 12” x 12” show coming up at Sierra Arts Gallery, Reno, that might be just the right place to show it (or them if I do a couple), so why not?
