#49- Nettie’s Garden 1

I am working on a series of acrylic abstracts with a very loose suggestion of the botanical.

These are still part of the 100 day challenge, but in honor of my Mother who passed during this quarantine time. Many of my happiest memories with her were in flower filled gardens. She had a leading role in Abingdon-in-Bloom, which is a government objective to bring vibrant flower displays around her town in Oxfordshire.

Flowers are not allowed at her upcoming funeral on May 22nd, so I making these as my tribute to her.
