The King of Pomegranates

A bowl of pomegranates with the King on the top. All hand grown and picked by the hand of Odysseus.

The composition was hard in this painting. The big pomegranate needed to stand out as the main subject, but I didn't want to completely loose the smaller ones. I compromised by simplifying the color range in the King and going to town with all the subtle golden colors in the smaller ones.
