My lovely cousin passed unexpectedly away this morning. When we were growing up, I spent every summer at his house in a little Cotswold village called Ashton-Under-Hill. He was sweet, sensitive, kind and had a playful sense of fun that he never grew out of.

About 10 years ago, we convinced my American kids, that all English people dressed their Xmas trees in a chocolate called Curly Wurly. He pulled up a photo of a curly wurly to show that they really exist. That year, he sent a magnificent box of at least 100 curly wurlys from across the pond and we filled the tree with nothing else.

Such a sweetheart.

I painted this Curly Wurly in his honor. x
